About

The most common way people give up their power
is by thinking they don’t have any.

Wrap your Head with this Material is, broadly speaking, a knowledge-sharing forum for social change. We provide a platform for the voices of women from Africa and its Diaspora, who are not commonly heard in the dialogue on social change, to share insights from their respective fields, academic and professional experiences with the hopes that people in different situations will find them useful in their social change-oriented projects.

Our mission is to support, inform, empower, connect and inspire women of Africa and its Diaspora as agents of positive social change.

Although our mission is focused on women of the African Diaspora, we welcome drop-in contributions from anyone with words and wisdom to share. Please contact us on the WYHWTM Facebook Page if you would like to contribute to the forum.

The name of this forum is from Erykah Badu's song "On and On," and is here used as a metaphor for knowledge and, subsequently, power.
